Mail

lspci
[...]
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Cape Verde [Radeon HD 7800M Series]
[...]

car j'ai des pbs : xrandr ne détecte pas de second écran et renvoie un message d'erreur :

root@netmasterpo-04:/home/bruno# xrandr -q
xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
Screen 0: minimum 1600 x 900, current 1600 x 900, maximum 1600 x 900
default connected 1600x900+0+0 0mm x 0mm
1600x900 0.0*
root@netmasterpo-04:/home/bruno#

Installation des drivers proprio

root@netmasterpo-04:/data/isos# apt-get install fglrx-modules-dkms fglrx-driver linux-headers-$(uname -r) fglrx-control

Veuillez utiliser le programme /usr/bin/aticonfig pour mettre en place une configuration opérationnelle dans xorg.conf. Par exemple, la commande « sudo aticonfig --initial » devrait convenir pour la plupart des cas.

aticonfig --initial

dkms

Dynamic Kernel Module Support (DKMS) is a framework used to generate Linux kernel modules whose sources do not generally reside in the Linux kernel source tree. DKMS enables kernel device drivers to be automatically rebuilt when a new kernel is installed.

An essential feature of DKMS is that it automatically recompiles all DKMS modules if a new kernel version is installed. This allows drivers and devices outside of the mainline kernel to continue working after a Linux kernel upgrade.

Another benefit of DKMS is that it allows the installation of a new driver on an existing system, running an arbitrary kernel version, without any need for manual compilation or precompiled packages provided by the vendor.

dkms est bien installé :

root@netmasterpo-04:/home/bruno# dpkg -l |grep dk
ii dkms 2.2.0.3-1.2 all Dynamic Kernel Module Support Framework
